Is Line Forge free?
Yes — free to download and play, with a light banner and the occasional full-screen ad. A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns those off for good.
How many puzzles are there?
19,414, across 39 grid sizes from 5×5 up to 20×20. Every one was solved and verified before it shipped.
Can I play offline?
Yes. All 19,414 puzzles are built into the app, so you can play with no connection — on a plane, in a tunnel, anywhere. Your free daily hint works offline too. Earning extra hints by video, ad serving, and cross-device sync are the only things that need a connection.
How do hints work?
Tap the Hint button to reveal part of the solution. Your first hint each day is free; for more, you can watch a short video to earn extra hints. Using a hint still counts your solve toward your streak.
How do I remove ads?
A one-time Remove Ads purchase removes the banner and full-screen ads. The optional hint videos stay, so you can still earn extra hints whenever you want. (There's no subscription.)
Is my progress saved?
Yes — automatically, on your device. Completions, streaks, and your place in the catalog are all kept.
Does my progress sync across devices?
With sync on, your completions, streaks, daily and weekly progress, and settings follow you between iPhone and iPad. A Weekly Challenge you've started on one device can be resumed on another; a regular puzzle you're partway through stays on the device you started it on. Sync uses your iCloud account — sign into the same iCloud on each device and turn on Settings → Sync.
Do I need an account?
No account or sign-up. Sync runs through your iCloud account; there's no separate login.
What are the Daily Puzzle and Weekly Challenge?
The Daily Puzzle is a new puzzle each day — the same grid for everyone — and you can replay past days from the calendar. The Weekly Challenge is one large puzzle each week (16×16 and up) that saves your progress so you can take your time.
What devices does it support?
iPhone and iPad, in both portrait and landscape. Apple Pencil is fully supported on iPad.
Does it show ads or use my data?
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, and in regions that require it you'll see a consent prompt the first time. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can I change the music or turn it off?
Yes. Under Settings → Audio, choose Heavy, Atmospheric, or Off. Mute is a first-class choice, not buried.
What languages is it in?
English for now.
How do I reset my progress?
Settings → Reset progress. This clears all completions and streaks and can't be undone.
